For a by the books stance build of a car that usually never gets modified, this Metro looks astonishingly good. Loose some of the trash in the interior and I’d definitely drive this.

As seen in a costco parking lot 30 minutes ago. Cleanest I’ve seen in a long time.

Damn, it’s just occurred to that it’s been a few years since I last saw one of these in that sort of shape, even as a hardtop (though I don’t think Suzuki offered a convertible in the uk - if they did I’ve never seen one)

That’s just lowered, and it does look good.

That’s the best looking Metro I’ve ever seen. But, it’s still a Metro. Not even one of the MG ones.

I get why you don’t like them (other than a few weirdos like me, not many people do) but personally I think they’re pretty good, especially the quicker ones

Yeah, it’s surprising how different it looks with just by being lowered a bit and given a set of new wheels

That thing looks pretty good! My first car with a stick (second car I owned...around 1991-ish) was a base 5-door Chevy Sprint in red. Maybe an ‘85? I loved that thing...honest to goodness slow-car-fast feeling everywhere I went. I drove the snot out of that car and especially remember a road trip from NJ to FL where I made time by drafting tractor trailers over 90 mph on I-95. Doesn’t sound like much now, but it sure felt like something then and was still getting over 40 mpg.

The front suspension mounting points (and lots of the rest of the underside) rot badly, which killed a lot of them off. Mechanicals were incredibly solid, so if you managed to keep the rust away they were incredibly durable.
There are still some hanging on around here (Including a 4x4 one!) but it can’t be long before they are all gone.

Nice one! I see one just like it around where I work when the weather is good, but the paint’s in bad shape and I don’t think the car still has a top at all.

There’s still plenty, but I doubt it will be long before we start wondering what happened them all with the way they rot

Nice! Nothing does slow-car-fast better than tiny 80's economy cars
